Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our core architectural requirement. Discover how our browser-only execution model keeps your psychometric answers completely private and under your sole control.

1. Local-First Processing & Zero Server Storage

When you take an assessment on SelfDiscovery, your individual question answers are processed strictly in-memory in your local browser runtime. We do not operate remote databases storing your answers, personality scores, or psychological profiles.

2. Cookie Categories & Google Consent Mode v2

We implement a granular consent model following European Union (GDPR/ePrivacy) and California (CCPA/CPRA) requirements:

  • Strictly Necessary: Always active. Manages theme preferences and local draft progress.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4 & Microsoft Clarity): Requires explicit opt-in. Collects anonymized traffic, page views, and scroll depth without answer data.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense): Requires explicit opt-in. Manages ad personalization and measurement flags under Google Consent Mode v2.

3. User Rights under GDPR & CCPA/CPRA

Because your assessment data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage, you enjoy immediate data sovereignty:

  • Right to Access & Portability (GDPR Art. 15 & 20): Export your complete assessment records as a machine-readable JSON file using the widget below.
  • Right to Erasure (GDPR Art. 17): Permanently wipe all locally cached scores, draft progress, and consent records in a single click.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Platform features and assessments remain 100% free and functional regardless of your consent choices.

4. Third-Party Sub-processors & Isolation

All external scripts (Google Analytics, Clarity, AdSense) are loaded asynchronously subject to strict Content Security Policy directives. We do not transmit personal identifiers, email addresses, or specific questionnaire answer choices to any third party.

User Data Sovereignty & Control

In accordance with GDPR (Articles 17 & 20) and CCPA standards, your psychometric responses and progress remain strictly on your device. You may export a full machine-readable JSON backup of your records or permanently erase all locally stored assessment data at any time.
